Our Story

In 1995 three like-minded women joined forces to build a community-driven company that would provide Children and Families with positive, compassionate, caring and professional guidance and support.

Family Connections Inc. started with few programs, and in the last 20 years, we have grown to an organization that has served over 1000 children, youth, young adults and families in the Edmonton and Greater Edmonton region.

Family Connections Inc. was formed with the goal of positively influencing the lives of children and their caregivers where stress has reached a point of violence and unhealthy living.

We believe that children have a right to belong to a family, be it biological, adoptive, foster or a group home and to a community.

We believe in the preservation of the family unit, the integrity of the individual and intrinsic strengths of the family as a basis for support and advocacy. Family Connections Inc. offers the following programs to the community: Group Care Residential Program, Supervised Visit Program, and Drive/Supervised Visit Program to the North Central and North East Region Family Connections provides a Cultural Resources Worker to all of our programs to ensure that individual beliefs and cultures are being respected and maintained. We believe that by working together with clients, families, and other involved individuals, we can better provide services to meet all the clients’ goals.
